Just before our "Camp Mama," Gina Chick, won Alone Australia, I was a rewild camp mentor, bewitched by skimming rocks, campfire tales and shrieking swims.
Beautiful! I totally agree about cycling making you feel alive. You should come and mentor one day. Though as you can see, the kids are really mentoring us...
Thanks for a great story Kathryn - reminds me to get back to the garden.. :-)
Ah yes there's nothing like sinking your hands into soil, and playing about with things that grow to make you feel empathy and groundedness.
Thanks for bringing me back to earth this afternoon Kathryn. It's great to see a new piece from you here.
I experience
connection when I sit in circles, sharing with other people,
shelter when I'm meditating,
abundance when I laugh,
and flow when I dance.
I feel
alive when I ride my single-speed bike,
and curious whenever I remember to really look at what's right in front of me.
I also feel hopeful when I think of the kids at the camp you've just been to!

"The first follower transforms a lone nut into a leader". - brilliant.. :-)
That's be awesome! I'm mentoring at Natura Care Programs right now and loving it, though it's a very different thing.
